‛Atlanta’ Debuts Trailer for Final Season

The much-anticipated last season of ‛Atlanta’ premieres this September 15

While fans have waited four years for the series’ 3rd season, they will not have to wait too long for the fourth and final season of FX’s “Atlanta.” Along with a new trailer, FX announced that will premiere on September 15, 2022, just less than six months from the season 3 premiere. Episodes will also be available for streaming on Hulu the day after they are broadcast. The upcoming season finds Earn, Alfred, Darius, and Van back in their hometown of Atlanta after their trip across Europe in season 3. The dilemma of the new season revolves around the question of whether city has changed, or if they have.

Donald Glover developed, wrote, and produced the comedy-drama TV series, which debuted on FX on September 6, 2016. He also plays one of the lead characters in the series. The show follows rapper Paper Boi, played by Brian Tyree Henry, and college dropout Earnest “Earn” Marks as they explore a bizarre and surreal version of the Atlanta rap scene. The series explores themes of racism, whiteness, existentialism, and contemporary African-American culture through Afro-Surrealism. “Atlanta” has won several accolades and nominations as well as critical praise. The series has won two Golden Globe Awards for the best series, and best actor for a musical/comedy. It has also won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series. Glover has won an Emmy for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series — the first ever given to an African-American.
