Black Legends’ Performances at The Carr Center Now Available on Comcast

More than 1 million Michigan Xfinity video subscribers will be able to see groundbreaking Black musical performances thanks to a partnership between The Carr Center and Comcast. “The Carr Center Presents,” which will include 10 concerts, will be aired on Comcast. Viewers may use Xfinity On Demand, Xfinity Stream, and Comcast Network 900 (CN 900) to watch the concerts.

“The Comcast audience will be among the first to experience the Duo & Duets series featuring some of the top names and legendary artists in jazz,” Carr Center President and CEO Oliver Ragsdale, Jr. said in a press release. “And there will be more unique and special programming in the upcoming fall and winter seasons.”

The Carr Center has established itself as one of the nation’s premier venues for the presentation of African American artists across all genres. The center bears Virgil Carr’s name, a late community and arts activist who served as The United Way of Detroit’s president and chief executive officer. Within Detroit, The center is committed to the preservation, display, promotion, and growth of the African and African American cultural arts traditions.

The concerts included in “The Carr Center Presents” programming are:
