Bounce TV Unveils Five New Original Series

Atlanta's Bounce TV, the broadcast television network geared toward African Americans, announced five new original series as it becomes an entertainment fixture in Detroit – thanks to its affiliation with WXYZ-TV.

"Bounce TV's accelerated distribution growth, immediate popularity with viewers and strong initial ratings has made the network a new must-buy for brands seeking to reach the African American consumer," Denis Ray, Bounce TV's executive vice president of advertising sales, in a press release on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.

Bounce TV's first original non-scripted series, Forever Jones, presented by Walmart, premieres on Wednesday, June 5. Upcoming featured programming on the network is as follows:

  • My Crazy Roommate: A scripted sitcom that follows two Black women from different backgrounds who are forced to keep the peace between their differences while they pursue fame and fortune in Los Angeles.
  • Step Wars: A series that takes viewers inside the fraternities and sororities of our Historically Black Colleges and Universities as they deal with college life and deciding their futures.
  • The Keepsake: A reality dating show that puts five women from across the country – and diverse backgrounds – in competition for the affection of one gorgeous guy.
  • BRKDWN: A breakdown of the most recent and breaking stories in pop culture.
  • Bounce Beats: Profiles: A new half-hour series that takes viewers backstage behind the scenes with various R & B and contemporary urban musicians for candid conversations as they discuss their lives and careers.

Launched in September 2011, Bounce TV targets African American adults with a programming mix of original series, theatrical motion pictures, live sports, documentaries, specials and inspirational faith-based programs.
