Detroit Restaurant Week Offers Early-Fall Dining Deals

Pumpkin seeds, squash, autumn Mostarda, spiced apples and almonds are among the autumn favorites grabbing the spotlight at the late 2013 Detroit Restaurant Week event.

The local eateries taking part in the fall edition usher in the season with a prix-fixe menu accented by harvest ingredients. In all, 18 restaurants across Detroit are offering up delicious creations from Friday, Sept. 20 through Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013. Per tradition, all options are available through a special three-course fixed-price menu at a cost of just $30.

A few standout options with particular fall flair include:

  • A seasonal apple and fennel salad (prepared with bacon, caramelized apple, shaved fennel and
hazelnut vinaigrette) at the Rattlesnake Club, located at 300 River Place Drive
  • Shepherd's pie (short ribs, caramelized mirepoix, fennel potato puree and bread crumbs) at 24Grille, located at 204 Michigan Ave., Detroit
  • And the pig of the party, a Wood Rotisserie Pig (served with autumn mostarda, rapini and roasted potatoes) at Roast, located at 1128 Washington Blvd.

Where will you eat first? The 18 featured restaurants include:

Just as appetizing as the dinner menu, don't miss out on the official menu of after-dinner entertainment, too.
