  3. Don’t let a black cat cross your path as it’s considered bad luck.
  4. Don’t open an umbrella indoors as this is said to bring bad luck.
  5. Don’t spill salt as it’s considered bad luck.
  6. Breaking a mirror will give you seven years of bad luck
  7. It’s considered bad luck to walk under a ladder
  8. Don’t use scissors on Friday the 13th
  9. It’s considered unlucky to have 13 letters in your name
  10. Don’t wear green on Friday the 13th
  11. Don’t get out of bed on the wrong side or you’ll have bad luck all day
  12. If you kill a spider on Friday the 13th, it will rain for 13 weeks
  13. Don’t cut your hair

But don’t be too quick to write it off as an unlucky day. There may be some truth to these superstitions after all. Who knows, contrary to popular belief, astrology says that Friday the 13th is a divine day. And other cultures believe the day to be good:
