New Clothing Store AYV Midtown Accents a Growing Detroit

verything about the new AYV Midtown showroom says urban dweller with a regal vibe.

The online clothier, headquartered in Southfield, chose to be in the threads of Midtown for its flagship store because, simply-“Midtown is poppin’,” says AYV (Accent Your Vibe) co-owner Anthony Temple.

The retail space includes men’s and women’s apparel to complement a look the brand describes as “intelligently aggressive.” Camouflage-print cargos, vibrantly accented hoodies, snapbacks and crew necks make up the main retail stock-and are not just for sale but part of the space’s adornment.

Seemingly embracing its new Midtown digs, AYV features a "Midtown 81" T-Shirt jersey, available in various colors, as a way local residents can represent their growing Detroit hub. 

“Everything in here (is designed) from our creative standpoint. I want them to feel like they are in an upscale showroom,” Temple says, adding the urban professional is the boutique’s target clientele. “It’s tailored towards the upper level, but not too far to reach.”

AYV is a welcomed addition to the Midtown Detroit district, joiningi the ranks of other local fashion retailers such as, Busted in Detroit, Detroit Human, and The Peacock Room.
