44: Portraits of a President: is a collective sculptural show created to recognize and celebrate the historical significance of the first African American President of the United States, Barak Obama. This exhibition presents 44 busts of the 44th President of the United States. 45 contemporary artists used a range of materials and processes to depict their visions of the United States’ first African American president. This exhibition serves as a study of his portrait and a platform to revisit his political ideology as a well as his hopes for America.
