Enjoy back-to-back film screenings of Jordan Peele’s Get Out and Us. Following the first film screening, Get Out, award-winning author and UCLA professor Tananarive Due will present “The Sunken Place” where she will discuss the history of Black Horror and explore themes covered in Get Out.

This event is FREE and open to the public, but a no-cost ticket is required for entry.
Get Out – 6pm
The award winning thriller Get Out is the story of a young African-American man who visits his white girlfriend’s family estate and uncovers a disturbing secret. (104 minutes)
Talk by Tananarive Due – 8pm
Tananarive Due is an executive producer on Shudder’s groundbreaking documentary Horror Noire: A History of Black Horror. She recently wrote the introduction for a published version of Jordan Peele’s Get Out.
Us – 10pm
Us is a gripping, socially conscious horror film directed by Jordan Peele. Starring Lupita Nyong’o, the film tells the story of a family who arrives at their summer home and is attacked by a group of menacing doppelgangers. (116 minutes)
