Join The Children’s Center in our first of a series of “Townhall” events!
The Children’s Center in collaboration with the community is coordinating an effort to Make Detroit the Greatest City in the U.S. to raise Black boys. Crisis to Connection: An Imperative for Our Black boys will reimagine and redesign systems that touch the lives of Black boys and improve their Educational, Economic and Mental and Physical Health Outcomes.
This Townhall is the first in series of discussions that will focus on issues important to the well being of Black boys in Detroit and Wayne County. We want the community to tell us what systems should look like that address the specific and unique needs of Black boys and ultimately improved their lives.
This Townhall will be an engaging, interactive and community lead discussion on Mental Health and will help guide how we rework systems to better serve Black boys. There will be creative interactions with the community throughout the discussion, activities, a brief panel discussion, and Q&A session.
There is no change without You! We invite the community to make your voices heard!
Refreshments and a light breakfast will be provided!
