Fact Checking Policy

BLAC Detroit Magazine is committed to providing content that is factually accurate across all platforms and mediums. Our primary goal is to ensure that our audience can trust the content they see from BLAC and that all of our content has been properly fact-checked and vetted by our team for absolute accuracy.

All BLAC content we release, must be well sourced, based on sound evidence, and corroborated. Our staff and journalists strive to be honest and open about what we don’t know and avoid unfounded speculation. Claims, allegations, material facts and other content that cannot be corroborated will be attributed.

BLAC will never knowingly mislead its audiences. We will never distort known facts, present invented material as fact or seek to misinform our audiences in any capacity. All journalists or employed content creators for BLAC are expected to adhere to these standards at all times.

Should any serious factual errors be found in our reporting, we will correct these errors quickly, judiciously and appropriately.

If any error in our content has been discovered, we invite all parties to please contact us for correction at editor@blacdetroit.com.
