The weekend is almost here! Nothing makes the weekend feel like a mini-staycation quite like a bubbly breakfast cocktail. This Blood Orange Mimosa recipe puts a fun spin on the brunch staple while celebrating winter’s finest citrus.

Here at BLAC, we work to incorporate Black-owned liquor brands into our cocktails and for this Blood Orange Mimosa, we’ve added Anteel Tequila and Cheurlin Champange from former Detroit Piston and NBA hall of famer Isiah Thomas to make this cocktail extra special.

Some recipes call for prosecco but we find that it can be too sweet with this particular mix. Instead, we recommend using champagne. It brings a nice balance and isn’t as sweet as prosecco or other sparkling wines.

This is one of our favorite recipes at BLAC (we think you’ll love it too). We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Happy Weekend and if you’re looking for more Black Spirit recipes be sure to check out BLAC Happy Hour!

As an added bonus, they generally only require two ingredients: Blood Orange Tequila and cranberry juice.
