The food event that drew over 50,000 people last year is coming back to Detroit. The Detroit Harvest Fest & Food Truck Rally will gather the best food trucks for a two-day food galore on October 1–2, 2022.

The festivities will begin at 11 a.m. up until 8 p.m. The event will cover the Dequindre Cut, stretching from Mack Avenue to Atwater Street and is situated between Orleans Street and St. Aubin Street. You can access the event’s venue at entry points located at Mack, Wilkins, Gratiot, Lafayette, Woodbridge, Franklin, and Atwater.

“Fall is one of the great seasons in Michigan,” Mark Wallace, president and CEO of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, said in a press statement. “Kids will be able to enjoy cider and donuts while looking through the pumpkin patch for just the right pumpkin, while grown-ups can enjoy music and a huge range of food trucks.”

In addition to trick-or-treating, a free pumpkin patch, inflatable bounce houses, and interactive kids’ activities — Harvest Fest will feature five stages of musical performances by local artists and, of course, 50 food trucks from all over Metro Detroit and beyond. To complete the fall halloween atmosphere, psychics, tarot card readers, and vintage carnival games will be at the venue for the “Cirque de Freightyard.” The cost of attendance is $5 per person. Free admission is offered to children under three, pensioners (65 and older), members of the armed forces, and veterans.

As part of the conservancy’s fund raising efforts, a VIP “Soirée on the Greenway” will be held a day before the Harvest Fest opens to the public. Guests will get first dibs on everything the Harvest Fest will feature. To fit in with the mystique of halloween and the cirque, the soirée will feature a masquerade theme, and guests are highly encourage to get lost in the glamor and magic by dressing up. For $500, VIP tables may be rented. These tables include with a reserved table, four VIP tickets, access to food trucks and drinks at no additional cost, and a keepsake masquerade mask. Individual tickets to the soirée are also available for $75 which includes three food tickets accepted anywhere in the festival grounds. Proceeds from the soirée and the main event are all for the benefit of the conservancy’s mission to “develop public access to Detroit’s riverfront.”
