Detroit is known for many things: cars, music and food. But, Detroit has more to offer than meets the eye. Over the last few years, Detroit has taken health and wellness to a new level. Fitness studios are popping up left and right, and it seems that Detroiters are dedicated to taking care of the most important thing: their body.

Here at BLAC we are always looking to spotlight trailblazers, innovators and, most importantly, industry leaders. We have noted five Detroit fitness industry leaders you should look out for the next time you are looking for a good workout.

Desi Johnson is a trainer for the people, and certified by the National Association of Sports Medicine. His goal as a personal trainer is to combine his life knowledge of working in a demanding corporate environment with his love of health and fitness. He designs unique workout plans designed with the working professional in mind. Clients can join virtually or in person. He offers in-person and virtual “fit camp” classes, individual training sessions, and group fitness classes. To incorporate his business life, he created a corporate wellness program and began his Principles of White Collar Fitness.
