Skinnytees Launches Pro-Detroit Leggings

We may be out of Lions-jersey-and-cutoff-shorts season, but leave it to Birmingham's skinnytees to keep us showing city spirit even during these frosty months. A fluffy sweater and boots of some sort pulled on over leggings is the go-to wintertime uniform for most of us. It's comfy, it's warm, it works. Skinnytees recently launched its Detroit Has Legs leggings, which feature 32 iconic Detroit landmarks including the Eight Mile sign, Spirit of Detroit and the Detroit Zoo tower.

Each of the online fashion retailer's leggings are custom-made, one at a time, here in the USA. The city's revitalization was the inspiration behind the leggings. "Our team wanted to design an item that showcases our beloved city of Detroit in a visual and impactful way," says Linda Schlesinger-Wagner, skinnytees founder. "Detroit Has Legs is only the beginning of the expansion of our brand's themed clothing, and we look forward to providing our customers with more custom-made designs."

The images are applied using a printing process that combines sublimation ink, heat and pressure. The colors are vibrant and the skinnytees team guarantees the images will stand up against that legging stretch that we love so much. They're available for a limited time online in sizes XS to 3XL for $56 each. All profits will benefit the nonprofit Cass Community Social Services, to help support their projects that provide food, housing, health services and job programs in local communities.
