Elegance Manifested Creates Unique Balloon Décor

Elegance Manifested launched in 2013 after owners and former teachers of Inkster Public Schools, Helena and Frank Williams, were fired from the dissolving IPS district.

The husband and wife duo opened the one-stop decor shop after realizing leaving the fate of their finances in someone else’s hands was no longer ideal. “My husband and I were both working there,” says Helena. “We had saved up some money, but when you get foreclosure signs on your home and they’re cutting off your water, you just kind of see what could happen.”

With their sights on something new, the metro Detroit natives began Elegance Manifested, an event decorating company that creates unique events through balloons and décor.

They “manifest” balloon centerpieces, drops, deliveries, bouquets, elegant candy/sweet tables, and have a hall in Westland where clients can host their events for up to 100 guests.

Helena crafts each creation by hand, and designs everything from life-size witches for Halloween to large scale arches or lollipops for baby showers and graduations.

“Many of the things I do for my clients are life moments and I really take those life moments seriously,” she says. “I take good care of it because this is something they are going to look back on, something they are going to show someone, and be proud of.”
