For the third year, Lil Baby did it again for his hood with a back-to-school charity event for the children in his hometown of Atlanta. He collaborated with Goodr to provide 3,000 kids with free food, haircuts, and school supplies during a concert at the West End Mall. The public, especially kids, got hyped with their favorite music, treated to carnival rides, and yummy bites. All the school-age children at the event went home with items from Footlocker: new shoes and clothes.

Goodr, a sustainable food surplus management platform that uses technology to decrease food waste and battle poverty, expressed its enthusiasm to once again collaborate with the “Drip Too Hard” rapper to provide joy to neighborhood children in the city that helped raise him.

Lil Baby and Philanthropy

This is not Lil Baby’s first philanthropic endeavor. As reported by Revolt, the songwriter previously collaborated with local famous company owner Lemont Bradley to recruit 100 persons for employment under the age of 21 around Atlanta. “We are looking to give out 100 jobs to teenagers and young adults in the metro Atlanta area,” Lil Baby and Bradley said in a joint statement about one of their previous charity work. “With the crime rate surrounding scams, robbery, and even murder being so high, we are looking to provide a positive outlet and revenue stream to those who are looking for an income.”

“At This Point It’s About The Kids ! #generationalwealth.”

Lil Baby wrote in the caption of his post for the back-to-school event.

Always one to give back to the people that raised him in the dirty south, Dominique Armani Jones, known to the world at Lil Baby previously gave out laptops, school bags, and other back-to-school essentials to students during his Back to School events. Last year 2021 his team sponsored the renovation of a community basketball court, gave out 200 bikes, and bought out the inventory of an entire footwear store to give to those in need. During the pandemic, he gifted his community with 2,000 coats just as the cold Christmas holiday started.
