Marygrove Is Throwing a Community Block Party

Enjoy campus tours, games, and food as part of The School at Marygrove’s last enrollment push

Enjoy the sun, nature and games at the afteroon Block Party for the The School at Marygrove’s last push for enrollment on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the their campus on 8425 West McNichols Road, Detroit. The Marygrove Conservancy is promising entertainment, giveaways, food and fun. Since the restrictions of public gatherings, this will be the first public event at the area.

There will also be campus tours and information booths. The School at Marygrove has opened enrollment for kindergarten to second grade levels for the school year 2022-2023. Parents should bring their kids to this block party to get a look at what the school has to offer. “School staff and representatives will be present at the Block Party event to provide information and offer on-site enrollment assistance,” the conservancy said in a press statement. “The Block Party will also serve as a final external enrollment push as The School at Marygrove welcomes its inaugural classes of kindergarten through second-grade students for the 2022-023 school year.”

There will be tons of fun things going down including live entertainment from local artists and groups, and complimentary food for the first 500 guests. Listen to a performance by the Detroit Youth Choir, get a vaccine shot at Michigan Humane Society’s pop-up clinic, and get a chance to win a laptop courtesy of HumanIT. Those are just some of the headline activities. There will be more from the more than 40 organizations, and businesses setting up their booths at the block party. There will always something to surprise you at every corner.
