Samuel L. Jackson Gets Political, Houstons Get a New TV Show

Does Samuel Think He is Helping?

I recently saw what I deem to be a very controversial clip. It is Samuel Jackson’s attempt to support President Obama. I’ve watched this a few times and while what he is saying is true, I don’t like the presentation one bit.

There’s just nothing positive to say about it. Check it for yourself and see what you think. All I can say is, we have to do better.Trust that President Obama does not “approve this message.” SMH.

Am I the Only One Wondering Why?

I absolutely loooooovvvvvveeeeed Whitney Houston’s music and I enjoyed her on the big screen. However, I didn’t support the reality show with Whitney and then husband Bobby Brown.

I thought that was a hot mess that depicted the two of them in the worst light possible.  That being said, I don’t see myself supporting Lifetime's new docu-series “The Houstons: On Our Own.”

The series will include Whitney’s daughter Bobbi Kristina, her mother, Cissy Houston, brother Gary Houston, his wife/Whitney’s former manager, Pat Houston, their daughter, Rayah and family friend/adopted son & now rumored boyfriend of Bobbi Kristina, Nick Gordon.

The purpose of this show is to follow the group as they move on after the loss of Whitney. Wait, were we concerned with them previously? Not! So, we care now because?

Not sure who thought this would be a hit show, I can only hope they don’t embarrass themselves like Bobby and Whitney did.  Anyway if your interest is peaked, the show will air on Lifetime beginning October 24th.

“The Family That Smokes Together Stays Together”

Yep, you read it right.  That is a direct quote from rapper, Snoop Dogg.  Of course you know what he is talking about smoking.

“What better way to [learn] than from the master?,” Snoop tells The Hollywood Reporter in a new cover story.  According to Snoop, he and oldest son smoke together.

“A lot of motherf-ers don’t have a relationship with their kids, and that’s when they get on drugs and have suicidal thoughts and drive drunk. Me and my son is mellow. I’m his father, so I wanna show him the proper way because he looks up to me.”

Wow, of all the things to show him. More importantly, it seems he is proud of the example he is setting.
