Heads up, “Empire” fans: The two youngest cubs in the Lyon’s den are traipsing around Metro Detroit right now.
Jussie Smollett and Bryshere Gray, who play Jamal and Hakeem Lyon on the Fox series, respectively, performed at Ford’s world headquarters this afternoon.
Why “Empire” and Ford? Ever notice the amount of Lincoln product placement in the series? The automaker and Fox (Ford was also a sponsor of Fox’s now-defunct “American Idol”) have a long relationship. The two performed for an event for Adcraft Detroit, a professional organization for the area's public relations and marketing industry. We caught a few snaps of the duo’s performances from attendees posting to Instagram.
Didn’t make it to Ford? Detroiters with sharp memories may remember that the last time Smollett was in town, he paid a visit to The Woodward, Detroit’s oldest gay bar. While Smollett hasn’t announced any plans, we’re just saying – you might want to check out The Wu tonight.
No word on where Gray might pop up, but be on the lookout if he sticks around!
