Aspen Grey Event Gallery Offers a Luxury Event Space in Farmington Hills

Aspen Grey

Aspen Grey is quaint, intimate and comfortable, but at the same time, it’s all about the splendor of the space,” says Sheree Jackson, owner of the luxury event hall and co-creative space that opened in May. “We’re polished and precise – down to the details and the doorknobs.”

Jackson also created DesignLuxe, an event planning company. She says dreamed of owning a high-class event hall for a while. The plans first hit in 2009, but a series of hiccups and small setbacks forced a readjustment. “We thought it would be together by 2016, but we had disagreements with owners and, in the end, we had to walk away. So, there were a few early failures,” she says.

Adaptation and patience prevailed. In 2018, Jackson says she “lucked” into the 2,000-square-foot venue in Farmington Hills that comfortably seats 80 and holds 100. In addition to hosting events, Aspen Grey Event Gallery will serve as a rentable co-working space for event planners, vendors and creative professionals.

Jackson says she thought this service important because of her own early struggles in an industry where advice is scarce and colleagues are tight-lipped. “I had a hard time getting guidance when I first started out, and I didn’t know who to ask or where to go. I want people to come here and ask questions to get themselves on the right path,” she says.

Aside from the grand opening event and the “downpour” of bookings Aspen Grey has received, Jackson says that she’s most excited for the upcoming secondary location, the Emory Estates, a 6,000-square-foot venue set to open in Bloomfield Hills in 2020.
