Detroit entrepreneur to compete on new Centric show ‘Queen Boss’

ntrepreneur Nailah Ellis-Brown, owner of Ellis Infinity Beverage Company — the makers of Ellis Island Teas — will bring some Detroit hustle to the new Centric reality show Queen Boss.

The show, hosted by Extra TV host Tracey Edmonds, follows 18 black businesswomen as they battle to win the $25,000 cash prize and the title of “Queen Boss.”

Celebrity judges include Vanessa Simmons, co-owner of Pastry shoes and Rev Run’s daughter, Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kandi Burruss, who also owns an adult toy company Bedroom Kandi, lawyer and TV personality (and Detroit native) Lauren Lake and Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price.

Ellis-Brown, who is featured in BLAC’s annual calendar this year, was one of Crain’s Detroit Business’ Twenty in their 20s in 2015, and last year was named one of Forbes Magazine’s 30 under 30 for manufacturing.

The first episode of Queen Boss airs at 10 p.m. on Saturday, January 14 on Centric. In the meantime, check out the show’s trailer below.
