SEEN Photo Gallery: 41st Annual Classical Roots Celebration

On March 9, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra hosted community members at Orchestra Hall to increase awareness of the contributions of black composers and musicians through performance and recording, and to support increased opportunity for African-Americans in classical music. Composer and professor of music Robert A. Harris and philanthropist Dr. William F. Pickard were honored during this black-tie affair.
