Thanks to The Children’s Center, BLAC was invited to participate in a Detroit Auto Show Charity Preview after-party for a good cause. It was a night to remember for this first time Charity Preview attendee.

After close to a 3 year hiatus, nearly 600 guests gathered at Ford Field in Detroit on Friday September 16 to enjoy a reimagined version of AutoGlow, presented by Ford Motor Company and hosted by Lisa and Bill Ford, Lia and Jim Farley. The event raised funds for the 3,500-plus children and their families who are served by The Children’s Center each year.

The ambiance at Ford Field was quite remarkable, making the outdoor activation a truly enjoyable experience. We were charmed by the festive environment and new outdoor areas at this year’s AutoGlow, which was entitled ‘Imagine with Me’. Ford Field was abuzz with excitement and delight. It was even more impressive to see how intimate the environment was inside. The space was curated beautifully, making it was easy to forget that we were in a football stadium. Added bonus, the food was incredible; the desserts?  Even better. To go bag please. And yes, the cookies were perfectly soft in the middle and delicious.

“This year’s AutoGlow was a wonderful way to celebrate and support the work we do for the 3,500-plus children and their families,” said Debora Matthews, President, and CEO of the Children’s Center. “We are tremendously grateful to those who purchased tickets or sponsored as those funds allow us to continue providing quality care that helps children overcome some of the most difficult circumstances.”

Detroit artist Trae IsAAc created original artwork that night, and guests were able to paint alongside him. Nuclassica featured Miss Michigan Melissa Baynard on violin and DJ Prevu entertained the crowd.
